dreaming in threes


Painting a new triptych, looking to open some space between objects so the winter rains can do their magic. Until then, we'll put on a sweater, pull up the bean plants, and marvel as the sunflowers still reach for the sky.

In Portland for October 1 First Thursday? Begin the evening at 5PM in Portland's South Waterfront in the two story penthouse at the Ardea. Food and wine by Stoller Vineyards. Art installations by Elizabeth Leach Gallery and Heidi McBride Gallery & Art Consultancy. See "oh why, why not" in person through the end of the month.

The crate of commissioned paintings has arrived safe and sound in West Des Moines, IA, for the opening of the brand new Mercy Medical Center-West Lakes. Install pictures by our favorite Iowa ground crew member Dan Ferro next week.

public library install


it's no travesty to try your luck is headed for the permanent collection of the newly renovated Marshalltown Public Library in Marshalltown, Iowa (featured as Iowa's 2009 Best Small Town in "The Official Best Of ..." series). Installation pictures soon.

the heat is on



Painting through the amazing Northwest heat wave. And the amazing stretch of work ahead. Finishing up a series of paintings for a showcase here in Portland and then, work begins on a commission for a hospital in Des Moines, IA. Here, a detail from a new painting. Moberg Galler Paper Show Opens


The Moberg Gallery Paper Show officially opens tonight in Des Moines, IA. Exhibition runs through early March. See paper work from a group of Moberg artists (including yours truly) if you're in Des Moines; otherwise, online. A full set of my new work on paper here.
